In fulfillment of my promise to send you presentations associated with genealogy presentations at BYU Education Week, I have uploaded 25 PDF presentations (PowerPoint and Articles) to the website: 

The length of time it will take to download the presentations will depend on your internet connection speed.  If you have dial-up, it may take up to 30 minutes to download some of the presentations.  I was able to download all the presentations in 30 minutes or less with my DSL connection. 

Suggestion:  If you haven’t downloaded presentations like this before, consider doing the following:

1.      Open your Windows Explorer and open My Documents folder.

2.      Create a new folder by going to the top of your screen.

3.      Click on file, then new, and folder.

4.      Name the new folder BYU Education Week Genealogy or name of choice.

5.      When you download the presentations, make this folder your place of destination.

The presentations are in PDF format (this is format that makes it easy for you to read, reduced the size of each presentation,  but it will not allow you to make changes to the articles or PowerPoints.)  This requires that you have Adobe PDF Reader  (or another PDF reader) on your computer.  You probably already have this software on your computer.   Once you download the presentations, simply click on the material and it should automatically open if you have the software.   

If the presentation does not open, go to the following link and download PDF Reader.  The latest version of PDF Reader is version 8.0.  If you do not have this version, I would also encourage you to download the latest version.
